The ceremony was completed on Friday 21 January, attended by the Undersecretary of Tourism Management, Narcissi Cárdenas Arturo, National Director of The Administrator, Mr. Fernando Guerrero Lopez, the governor of Esmeralda’s, Esq.

Lara Lenin, the Provincial Director of Tourism, Esq. Carlos Acosta, Mayor of the canton Elroy Alfaro Economist Richard Mina, the Heads of Tourism of several municipalities, representing the Provincial Government, under the Program Info Taxi, TAME authorities, the Airport, the City Police, Catholic University, representatives of different national and provincial institutions, media and public.

This service is implemented through an agreement signed between the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Provincial Ministry of Tourism and Provincial Chamber of Tourism under the Tourism Act, which stipulates that the Ministry of Tourism is the governing body of the tourist activity in Ecuador and as such is responsible to plan, promote, regulate and facilitate the development of tourism.

The Tourist Service U-Turn is a free service, staffed by students of Hospitality and Tourism at the Catholic University and provide assistance and information to domestic and foreign tourists through a multi-stage care, which aims to promote the image of the city, county, province, region and / or competitive Ecuador as a tourist destination, offering free information and guidance to tourists, mainly on aspects related to the destination, tourist attractions, services, tourist facilities and events.
